The tang of the simple

3.5-Litre V6 Engine and VVT-i
Producing an impressive 204 kW and 346 Nm of torque at 4,700 r/m, the RX350 is definitively SUV. The Quad-Cam engine performs like that of its sedan counterparts, going from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8 seconds. The Variable Valve Timing-intelligent (VVT-i) system, though, ensures that the vehicle performs at optimum efficiency under all conditions. The electronic system varies the amount air the engine needs depending on the conditions, to burn fuel economically. A feature to complement the electronically controlled All-Wheel Drive.

Double Wishbone Rear Suspension
The updated RX models both feature the newly developed double-wishbone rear suspension. The improved design and technology carefully controls the vertical movement of each wheel which means exceptional agility and handling. The suspension also allows for five percent more cargo volume and easier loading.

All-Wheel Drive and Limited Slip Differential
The full-time all-wheel drive instinctively distributes power to each individual wheel according to its needs, providing greater handling and a smoother ride. The Limited Slip Differential (LSD) technology also ensures that torque is distributed evenly to each wheel or adjusted if one wheel has limited contact with the ground making the RX350 fit for all terrain.

Improved 6-Speed Transmission
The technology of The next generation RX is focused on comfort. Taking the successful 6-speed automatic transmission of previous generations, the new RX350 enhanced it with direct downshift control. The gears were modified to allow for changes from 5th gear to 2nd and from 6th gear to 3rd – retaining the economical fuel-consumption of its predecessors but with more utility for your money. The automatic transaxle is also the lightest and most compact in its class promising smoother and quicker shift between gears.

Vehicle Stability Control
The improved RX350 gives you the peace of mind to be adventurous. With curtain shield safety airbags coming standard with dual front and side airbags for passengers. you are protected from just about any angle. More than being reactive, though, the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) prevents such an instance from occurring. The VSC monitors each wheel to detect speed, braking and steering angle to counter any problem if it occurs and prevent over- and under-steering.

Traction Control
Similarly, the Traction Control (TRC) monitors the traction of each wheel and adjusts accordingly when detecting an imbalance. If control is lost, the Anti Brake-lock System (ABS) prevents skidding, while the Brake Assist System (BAS) supplements the driver’s braking by compounding it with the force of the vehicle.

So advanced, the only inhibition is yours.
