With four tones of semi-aniline leather to match the three corresponding woodgrain trims, the LS460 takes tradition to a contemporary level. Embedded with comfort, both front and back seats are adjustable with individual memory settings and adjustable heating and ventilation for an experience that is essentially premium Lexus.
With more than rear vanity mirrors, the rear passengers of the LS460 experience the same comfort and luxury as those of the front. The intuitive power slide-linked reclining mechanism of the rear seats enable them to be adjustable like those of the front for individual comfort. The Lexus Memory System can save up to three different customised positions for the seats and outside mirrors in the front. The two rear seats also have memory function.
The comfort goes beyond the recline of the seats, as all four have independent climate control with a total of 14 vents in the car, to distribute air evenly. The rear-seat console at the back allows rear-passengers to customise their temperature from the armrest Multifunction Panel. If they would prefer not to let the automatic climate control monitor their body temperature and adjust accordingly, they set their own temperature.
Even the rear, electrically powered sunshades cover the side and rear windows at the touch of a button. When the vehicle is placed in reverse rear the sunshades automatically retract, preventing any obstruction for the driver.
Indeed, luxury in the LS460 filters down to the last degree. Engineered with an understanding of the driver’s needs, the top class HDD navigational system and Bluetooth™ voice-controlled technology are at home in the LS. The Electro Multi-Vision display on which the satellite navigation is shown, is touch sensitive allowing the driver to set co-ordinates, adjust the climate and control the pristine audio of the 19-speaker Mark Levinson sound system.
Enhancing the quality of Mark Levinson, the LS460 has been specially insulated and tested for quietness, designed to reduce vibration, making it one of the quietest cars in the world. The vehicle goes through a vigorous noise testing process from its initial development until the insulation on the glass of the windows at the end of production.
For rear seat passengers, the surround sound system is complemented by a power operated 9" Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen, integrated within the ceiling, letting you play DVD movies at the touch of the remote. Additionally movies can be played on the front Electro Multi Vision (EMV) screen while the vehicle is stationary.
