The bold profile of the IS250 is perfectly reflects its power while the elegant surfaces give it its unique style. Flowing from the sculpted headlamps to the extended wheel arches, air is maneuvered to improve the car’s speed and fuel efficiency. The computer-designed panels protect the car’s chassis and vital components. The narrow gaps in the bodywork, flush-fitting windows, tyre and rear spoilers reduce turbulence.
The aerodynamic of the IS250, however, is designed for more than speed. The shape of the vehicle reduces wind resistance for a quieter cabin. Even noise, vibration and harshness have been limited by the noise reducing body panels. The IS is composed considerately and deliberately of sound-absorbing materials to reduce a noise that is already inaudible to the human ear, so that it is inaudible to Lexus engineers.
The four-bulb High-Intensity Discharge are specially designed for luxury. With the aid of the Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS)* the headlamps react to the position of the steering wheel and speed of the vehicle to follow the driver’s path of vision. When external light darkens, the headlamps automatically* switch on, like the rain-sensing wipers* when detecting rain and the electro-chromatic mirrors* under harsh light.
As intuitive, is the Park Distance Control Monitor* which emits a noise when reversing if obstacles are in the way; assisting the driver without the touch of a button. The Rear Guide Monitor* also helps the driver when reversing by displaying an image of obstacles behind the car on the Electro Multi-Vision display in front. Every whim is catered for in the perfectly crafted IS250.
