Journeys in Taste is an exciting new documentary series that follows four innovative chefs as they take a journey to explore the origins and the intricacies of their craft. Brought to you by Lexus, each episode draws parallels between the Lexus models that the chef drives during the journey, and the processes unique to each chef that makes them stand out as an extraordinary talent in their industry.
Catch the first episode of Journeys in Taste here and meet celebrated Chef and Winemaker, Emma Gao, on her journey to discover the complexities of her craft. She’ll be driving the exhilarating Lexus LC 500 in Limited Edition Structural Blue, a colour as unusual and distinctive as Emma’s award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon. See how chef and winemaker, Emma Gao, is defining taste and transforming China’s winemaking industry with her uncompromising technique.
At the tender age of 22, Emma’s father sent her to France to study wine at viticulture school so that she could work at his company growing grapes for export. She started out knowing nothing about wine, but as her knowledge grew, so did her love of viticulture and winemaking. She also met her husband there, and they later moved back to China where she started her own little winery in the region where she was born.
Just like the Lexus LC 500, Emma is carving a path through the traditional to achieve the unexpected.
