As is typical with Lexus vehicles, the GS300’s safety technology takes securiy to a preventative level. The vehicle stability control (VSC), which monitors speed, steering angle and decceleration, prevents under- and oversteering in the event of an accident.
Combine this with the Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management system (VDIM) and the vehicle automatically poises its power with the imperative to protect. The VDIM controls movement in all directions by integrating and co-ordinating the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Brake Assist System (BAS), and Traction Control (TRC). The Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) also maintains handling under all driving conditions by adjusting the shock absorbers. The result is a smoother ride. A symphony of engineering to produce performance that is breathtakingly silent.
Peace of mind also rests on the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) which works in conjunction with the Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD). This optimisises the distribution of the braking action. The Brake Assist system then functions as the third braking tier, applying extra braking when additional pressure on the brake pedal is detected.
The tyres are also equipped with special sensors to warn the driver if there is a drop in tyre-pressure. In every way, the GS meticulously looks out for the passengers safety, leaving them free to delve into the moment.
